What is Structural Racism in Institutions?
Institutional racism, systemic racism, or structural racism is the racism embedded in the structures of our institutions like our workplaces, schools, health care, and housing. Structural racism may be found in written policies and guidelines as well as in routine organizational practices.
We believe in dismantling systems that disempower Black people, indigenous people, and all people of color. We fight to end practices that harm our clients and to ensure that institutions adopt new, progressive policies that advance change. In addition to representing individuals, we offer legal services to organizations, conducting racial equity assessments and developing cutting-edge diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice practices.
