Case Summary

M&S represented consumers in a case against technology giant Hewlett-Packard Company regarding a faulty motherboard in their HP Pavilion line of desktop computers. People who purchased this line of computers experienced “hanging, freezing and locking” of their system making the computer unusable.

M&S achieved a positive result for our clients and the class of consumers who purchased the affected HP Pavilion models.

SETTLEMENT

Under the settlement, class members are entitled to a direct monetary payment, a discount certificate, or both.

This settlement was approved by a federal judge in Michigan in December 2005 and payments to class members were mailed in November of 2006.
